World Record: F1 Transporter Jumps Speeding Lotus F1 Car In Epic Stunt (video)

A giant semi-truck sets a new world record after jumping over a speeding Lotus F1 car. The stunt was created as an advertisement for Massachusetts-based EMC technology. The 16-tonne transporter sets the longest ever truck jump at 83 feet and seven inches.

According to Ryan:

“It is one of my dream stunts, because it is one thing I have not done in a big rig. I’ve flipped them, crashed them every which way you can, but I have not jumped a truck and trailer, and I’ve never seen it done before.”

Hollywood stuntman Mike Ryan, who has worked on the Fast and Furious and Terminator 2, hurtled towards the ramp at 70mph before clearing the Lotus race car. Both vehicles then race side by side until the lorry speeds up the ramp and jumps over the F1 car which swerves below. It is the first time the jump has ever been attempted with a lorry and trailer.
