An alleged report regarding the P100 million offered by Mar Roxas to AlDub in exchange of their endorsement to his candidacy in the 2016 presidential election circulates online. According to Bulgar entertainment columnist Ambet Nabus, Mar’s camp attempted to hire the supercouple to endorse him for the coming elections. Nabus said there’s also a rumor that Vice President Jejomar Binay, one of Roxas’ opponent in the presidential race, offered a nine-figure fee to Richards and Mendoza for their support but was likewise turned down.
Sen. Tito Sotto confirmed that the supercouple is not allowed to endorse any candidate regardless of position on the coming 2016 presidential elections.
“I am setting the example so that politicians will know we mean it. And we do not want our Dabarkads (gang) to be politicized,” Sen. Tito Sotto stated.
However, Alden Richards has already denied that AlDub was offered P100 million to campaign for Mar Roxas.
