Freddie Roach Claims Mayweather Got Beat Up In Sparring (video)

An alleged report regarding Mayweather got knocked down by his sparring partner Zab Judah seems true when Freddie Roach confirmed it from his reliable source. Roach, trainer of eight division World Champion Manny Pacquiao claimed that his Mexican friend told him that Mayweather was having trouble with the fast-paced styles of his sparring mates.

“He knocked out a couple of girls [in sparring] or something like. The thing is, I got a report from one of my friends in Mexico – that one of his Mexican boys beat the (expletive) out of him two days in a row. So I really don’t care about stuff like that. I really don’t care what he’s up to, because I have to get my guy ready for my fight and that’s what I’m thinking about,” Roach stated.

He believed that former undisputed welterweight champion Zab Judah knocked Mayweather down “for at least 10 seconds.” This indicates that a close contact recently confirmed Floyd has struggled to deal with the intensity of sparring sessions, but not necessarily against Judah. There were previous reports that former welterweight champion Zab Judah knocked out Mayweather in one of their sparring sessions, but the five-time champion quickly denied it.
